Custom Domains
Serve your Grovs links from your own branded subdomain, with SSL included.
Custom Domains let you serve your Grovs links from a subdomain you own, such as links.acme.com, instead of the default *.sqd.link host. SSL is included and provisioned for you.
Custom Domains require an active paid subscription. On the free plan the option is disabled and prompts you to upgrade. See Plans and billing below.
Where to find it
This lives in the dashboard under Link Behaviour → Domain, where you'll find two related options:

How it works
A custom subdomain attaches a hostname you own to your Grovs project through Cloudflare for SaaS:
- SSL is included. Grovs provisions a certificate using DNS (TXT) validation, so the certificate is issued before you move any traffic.
- Zero-downtime cutover. Your links keep resolving on their current host until DNS points the new hostname at Grovs. Only then does traffic move.
- Your branding stays. Once a custom subdomain is active, new links resolve on your host. If you ever remove it, links fall back to your
*.sqd.linksubdomain automatically.
Plans and billing
This is a premium feature. If you start without an eligible plan, the dashboard shows an upgrade prompt:
Using your own subdomain requires a paid plan.
Open Settings → Billing (or click View plans in the prompt) to subscribe, then return to Link Behaviour → Domain. If you have questions about plans, use Contact us in the same dialog.
If your subscription lapses while a custom domain is active, Grovs tears the configuration down and your links fall back to your *.sqd.link subdomain. Keep billing active for as long as you rely on the feature.
