# How to add an associated domain

> Configure associated domains in Xcode for Universal Links.

### 1. Select your app target

In Xcode, click your project file in the Project Navigator, then select your app target under **Targets**.

### 2. Open Signing & Capabilities

Open the **Signing & Capabilities** tab.

### 3. Add the Associated Domains capability

Click **+ Capability**, search for **Associated Domains** and double-click it.

### 4. Add each domain

Under Associated Domains, click **+** and add:

```text
applinks:yourdomain.com
```

Replace `yourdomain.com` with a domain from your Grovs dashboard. Repeat for each domain listed.

### 5. Test on a physical device

Build and run on a physical device: Universal Links don't work in the Simulator. Tap a link on one of your domains, for example from Notes.

> **Warning:** Add both domains from the Grovs dashboard, one for test and one for production.

If links still open Safari, see [Deep link doesn't open the app](https://docs.grovs.io/docs/troubleshooting/deep-link-not-opening-app#ios-universal-links).
