Akamai / Linode
Run the full Grovs stack on a Linode with the shared Ubuntu installer.
Open Akamai / Linode Console (opens in a new tab)
When to use
You want one Linode running the whole stack.
Prerequisites
The shared VM prerequisites: fresh Ubuntu 24.04 x86_64, 4 vCPU, 8 GB RAM, 80 GB SSD, public IPv4, SSH key, domain. Akamai bills you for the server, storage and traffic.
1. Prepare DNS and firewall
Create a Cloud Firewall that allows inbound TCP 80/443 from the internet and TCP 22 only from your public IP. Allow outbound traffic.
2. Create the server
- In Cloud Manager, create a Linode with the plain Ubuntu 24.04 image.
- Choose a region and an x86 plan that meets the resources above. Add your SSH public key and the operating-system credentials the form asks for.
- Attach the Cloud Firewall and create the Linode.
- Connect with
ssh root@YOUR_SERVER_IP.
3. Install Grovs
Run the shared installer over SSH. Point the DNS records at the public IPv4 shown in Cloud Manager.
4. Deploy and verify
Follow the shared verify steps.
